All time High - my special Caffeine Fix

Being a mom certainly beats needing coffee fix every two hours - this statement is from me, after I have become the recipient of one too many minor incidents that involved my two chikitings whom I will call B1 and B2.

Having kids who are barely a year old apart (and who almost shared the same birth date) is no easy task for the fainthearted. Just ask my husband who can only grin or shake his head when our children cause too much havoc to our once pristine and minimalist inspired dwelling.

And if you are someone who is used to straight eight hours sleeping time, then you are in for a rude awakening. These days, an alarm clock attached to my ear would not jar me awake, instead I will wake up hearing a shrill scream from one of my angels, or a jab at the side from smaill hands waiting for mommy to open the door so that they can get out of the room and go down to "tata" and "nanay" (my bunso's version of lolo and lola).

But when too much info overload at work forces my eyes shut (together with a freeze brain,) and when I spend listless hours staring at my netbook waiting for my writing muse to come, a simple look to check on my babies makes me smile, and immediately eliminates the sleepiness from my eyes.

One look is all it takes, to shoo the drowsiness away. There is no greater caffeine fix than seeing my babies as they grow daily, and discover more about the world. I just hope that I can always be there to accompany them on their journey, and lend a supporting hand when they need it.
